From Everett: Take Hwy 2 east to Monroe, then take SR 203 south toward Duvall. After crossing the Skykomish River, turn left onto Ben Howard Road and go 5 miles to the Thunderbird preserve.

From Bellevue: Take I-405 northbound and exit onto Hwy 522. Proceed northeast on Hwy 522 to Hwy 2. Follow Hwy 2 eastbound to Monroe. Turn right on SR 203 south toward Duvall. After crossing the Skykomish River, turn left onto Ben Howard Road. The preserve is approximately 5 miles ahead on your right.

Preserve Description
Mountain views and river frontage are highlights of this picturesque preserve, which is located on the beautiful Skykomish River. On-site salmon and steelhead fishing provide excitement for avid fisherfolk, while families can enjoy the availability of mini-golf, three pools and playgrounds for entertainment. Local antique shops, hot air ballooning, state fairs, NASCAR racing and hang-gliding facilities round out this scenic and adventure-filled getaway.

Please note: the pool complex, including the Hot Tub, has closed for the season.
